No. In fact he's needed PT for toe walking and pronation and overall coordination problems. He HATES sports, probably because he's so clumsy. Oh and he walked at 8 months, 1 day. Running by 9 months. I'm not sure why he why/how he walked so early when he has all these issues. LOL
Oh and he was a super chunk! Slim now, thank goodness!

Re: Early walker poll
My earliest walked (8.5 months, running by 9 months), is the clumsiest 3.5year old I have ever met!

Re: Early walker poll
My 15 year old walked at 11 months and is super athletic. He likes sports and is good at them. I was athletic but hated sports. I think whether your child plays sports or not depends on if they even want to.

Re: Early walker poll
NO! Ha this cracked me up. My earliest walker is DS2 who walked just after 10 months. He is the least athletically inclined of the older 3 kids, (11.5 month walker and a 15month walker btw).
The only thing that is different with him is that he is very smart, especially in math. No idea if that is related though. I will also say that I think the smaller, skinnier babies tend to walk earlier just because it's easier, less weight to carry etc......obviously not proven, lol, just my personal observation of my own and other kids. If I had to guess which of my kids is the most athletically inclined I would say the latest walker weirdly enough....he's only 3 now but he can seriously throw a ball and hurt you....and has always been able to do this since about 1.5y.

Re: Early walker poll
My DD1 didn't walk until almost 16 months!! We'll see how quick DD2 picks it up!

Re: Early walker poll
DD started walking @ 9.5 mos & was quite a chunker. She's now turning 3 & while she's quite active, loves to jump and dance and run & play w/ friends, she's not especially coordinated, is quite klutzy, & has no interest in any kind of sports.
