what can I do for a cold?

my DS is 3 weeks old and his big sis shared her cold with me and hubby She's now with her grandparents for a few days while we get some extra rest and try to get over it. I never had this problem with DD, so any tips? I have over supply, with a small freezer stash, so thankfully that's not a problem. I just would like to get rid of the cough and drainage so I wouldn't be so worried DS will get it too. again, any advice is welcome.

Lots of info here. I took Sudafed (the real stuff) because I was soooo congested. It definitely helped. DD had a cold too so I wasn't worried about her getting a tiny bit of the meds, I figured it could only help her breathe too. Plus of course as much rest as I could get and tons of fluids. Sudafed might reduce supply. I restarted taking Fenugreek simultaneously so I didn't notice if it did or not.
