My 36 weeker was a reasonable size (6lb4oz) and I would not have wanted to put him in a convertible. He was swimming in the Graco Snugride. I had to prop him up with a tightly rolled washcloth.

I can't believe I actually found a picture, but here it is

ETA: OK, just realized we have the roundabout, not the advocate. So I don't know. He did not fit the roundabout until 4 months old, fwiw. I think he would have fit in a scenera or radian at birth, but we never tried.. anyway, now you have a reference picture of a 6 ish pound baby in a bucket seat :P
