I'm so itching to take my car load to the thrift store. Will do that tomorrow as planned. Cannot wait to count this load up. I'm at 3 pages of the list this time! My most yet!

I counted my stuff for tomorrow's donation run some of it was bigger stuff like sets of glasses and a shelving unit.

177 items! Bringing my total to 768. On where did it all freaking come from. Glad it is going away. My living spaces look much nicer.

Eta 3 more things 771.

Eta while putting it in the car and doing the dishes 7 more things gone. Total is 778. Wowza.

Okay after loading it all up in the car I am embarrassed. Like why did I buy all this stuff. I look like a hoarder. What was going through my mind? I wanna crawl in a hole and cry. I feel like I failed at something in life. Why do I need to have this junk (I don't. That is why it is going away.) Hitting the almost 800 mark has got me freaked out.

Tell me I am not the only one feeling this way. Tell me it is just part of life and a process.

I'm taking control right this moment. No more buying junk. Only buy what I truly love and will use/cherish.

I'm done being a product of American commercialism. Done.

Same here. I feel that all the little things we are getting rid of were a waste of $. I am staying out of the stores for a while and save up for something i would really love. I realize that just because something is cute i dont have to have it. 228/2013

I get overwhelmed by it too. But I also remember that just being AWARE of the problem and doing what I can to fix it is HUGE! You are taking steps and that is all we can do! We can't tell our younger selves what we shouldn't have bought, but we can deal with the present! Keep your eye on the prize!

Sold a duvet set and set of sheets on Craigslist for $40. Just 2 things, but they are big things that were really taking up space so I'm really happy about it!

I have also sold 20 of my old products that are retired patterns, or things I have duplicates from Thirty-One and simplified that part of my life I've made about $100, so again, happy!
