Rear facing car seat accessories

Can you use any car seat accessories while rear facing? Like cup holders and trays?

Re: Rear facing car seat accessories

I have a tray I let DD1 use, and won't have a problem with DD2 using. It's foam, and seems rigid, but with not a lot of my strength it will bend and mold and it's lightweight enough that I don't worry about it. Pretty much a parenting decision. Basically anything you let your kids use in the car you have ot have an eye to what would happen to it if you crashed. Will it conk your kid in the head? If it gets pushed into them is it going to cause injury? There are no hard and fast safety rules with aftermarket stuff, so you just have to be aware of it and use your own judgement.

If it came with the seat it will say in the manual if you can use it rearfacing. I personally don't like the idea of trays and what not...I try not to use anything that didn't come with the seat.
