Re: When does your school year end? Or does it?
We do year round. One of the things I about home schooling is that, since we do school year round, I have little guilt when we (read:I) need to take a day off. And when we had our baby in January, my mother and mother in law were able to take the other kids for a week each, I was able to recover more fully, and I didn't have to worry about my daughter getting behind in school, because we'll catch up when the school's have spring break. I thought home schooling was going to make my life more complicated, and it does in some ways, but it makes things like this, or planning vacations super easy.

Re: When does your school year end? Or does it?
We're on track to finish the curriculum by the end of May. Since my oldest is in school, I plan on taking a few weeks to decompress before doing much. But I know my kids will really want to do something, I tend to do mostly outdoor learning like nature journals or outdoor field trips with some structured learning tied in. Then we have a family vacation in early August. After that, the next school year begins.
