My first homemade fitted

I decided to make some fitted diapers for DS for the newborn phase so I printed off the darling diapers free pattern and got to work. I have made pockets before for DD but I gotta say they never quite turned out this cute and I am so excited! I bought some flannel shirts from the Salvation Army store for less than $2 a piece for the outers, used micro fleece for the inner on this one, and put a layer of zorb II and a layer of microfiber on the inside (I used microfiber towels from the automotive section lol). After I was done it was an afterthought but I put in an extra snap in doubler as well made of another layer of zorb II and covered it in the same flannel as the outer. Anyways, here is a pic of the first one I made and I think it turned out pretty good. Any suggestions on my method before I go finishing up the rest of them?

Hopefully the attachment works. This is my first time trying to post a pic while mobile lol.

That's awesome! I don't know how to see but plan on getting a machine next week. My little girl is due in June so I'm hoping to be able to make a few fitteds with a cord snap down too!! Good job!

Re: My first homemade fitted

Thanks ladies. I was super stoked last night to discover that the sleeves of flannel shirts are actually big enough for a diaper cut when opened at the seam so I am going to wind up getting 16 diapers out of 4 flannel shirts and some fabric I already had at the house. I figure that easily saves like $250 off diapers I won't have to buy. Speaking of which I better get sewing because the 11 I still have to make are not going to make themselves!
