Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
Sometimes this has worked for me, but lately it is not getting out some stubborn stains. After reading this thread, I realized that I've put them out there in the sun when they were already dry. So, I should wet them first? Does that really make a big difference?
Good info! |

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
Why do some instructions say to launder again after sunning? Line drying in the summer without the intention of sunning is okay.

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
I don't ever get results as good on cloudy days as I do on sunny days. I know there's supposed to plenty of UV rays on cloudy days, so that must not be what's doing the trick.

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
Thanks for the info!! I recently bought an oxygen bleach because I've got some serious poop stains that have been washed/dried in. I'm going to give sunning a try before I add more chemicals to our lives. I didn't know you could sun them inside too. That would be sooo much easier with the weather we're having.

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
I'm totally new to cloth diapering. I live in Alaska; i don't even see the sun for about 2 months. During that time can i just leave the stains in the diapers until the sun comes back?

Re: Sunning stains out, should be a sticky.
I wait and sun my diapers on the first good warm sunny day in spring. Always works. Some of the stubborn ones take a cou9le times. I dont re-wash, just wet in the s ink the next day and hang outside. I am more than ready for warm weather. My moms clothsline (it is bigger than mine) have a date, ifnthe weather ever decides to cooperate.
