Question Best trainers for a skinny BOY?

My son is uber skinny at 34 months. We're soon going to start PL and I'd love to know what your favorite trainers are for a skinny little man.
He's just 26# and 36" tall.

Re: Best trainers for a skinny BOY?

Honestly I found that all OS trainers ran small. I would be mostly worried about getting enough rise for your son. My son is the same height and about 10lbs heavier. He (apparently) has a longer rise -- I never had a rise issue until trainers. Part of the reason I imagine is we only use the at night, so the stuffing eats some of the rise.

I would recommend Best Bottoms, but note they have had issues with stitching unraveling. your son would probably be either 3T or 4T. I really like Snap EZ trainers. Not sure if they would fit your son well though.

Good Luck! I have found the trainer stage unfun at finding something that works.

I would try Best Bottoms. DD is tall and skinny, and those worked well for her. Plus I was able to snap in more inserts for extra absorbency, which I like since most cloth trainers only catch little accidents, not a full-on pee or overnight.

I can recommend one that DIDN'T fit my skinny kid. flip trainers were not trim at all on my ds...not could I get a good fit. The rise snaps were always coming unsnapped when he pulled them up.

We honestly used undies here...with a flip cover over it when necessary.

I am getting Monique who makes trimsies to make custom ones for DS1. He is so excited because he got to pick everything out. She is making them from his specific measurements so they will fit him perfectly. She is making overnight ones with a pocket that I can stuff if he needs extra absorbency. She has a WAHM thread on here.

Re: Best trainers for a skinny BOY?

i just used gerber padded undies on mine when he was potty training (he was out of diapers by about 22 months, and a little peanut at that, lol). if i wanted waterproofness (when out and about at first for example) I'd just stick a cover over. I think most of ours were bsww and loveybums wool wraps. He'd be soaked if he peed, but no leaks
