As the cost of corn goes up so will the beef. The drought last summer and the production of gas alternatives will keep the price of corn up.

Re: Why is ground beef never on sale anymore?

i found a bunch of ground pork for $1.79/lb at the store marked down. i stock up when i find deals like that. DS1 is pretty much the meat eater in the house so i only buy the marked down stuff

my ex actually preferred turkey over beef although ive noticed that it's not a significant difference in price anymore. the cost of the turkey has gone up $1 per chub around here

Re: Why is ground beef never on sale anymore?

Are you in an area where you could purchase from someone who raises and butchers? We sell to many family members and friends at just the price for the meat with no processing fees.
We just butcher, grind and package ourselves (which I know you probably aren't gonna run out and grind your own cow ) but if you can find someone in the area it may be an option!

Otherwise no advice, but hope it goes on sale for all you ladies soon!
(PS ground turkey is great also and we buy that often!)

Re: Why is ground beef never on sale anymore?

The meat doesn't really go on sale much here, I got some 7% fat ground beef at target for $3.50/lb last week, that is usually when I buy a few packs. The fatty meats like 20 or 27% fat are usually about 2.88/lb but I won't buy them because it is so greasy.
The ground turkey here is also $3/lb, I buy it for dh I don't like ground turkey so have to get ground beef.
