Juicer Recipes

So far I've only made pure orange juice and one with apples, cucumber, carrots, & celery.

I need some more tried and true recipes that won't break my bank.

Re: Juicer Recipes

Have you ever seen the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead? It's a lot about juicing and how it changed his life. If you look it up, his website has a lot of great juicing recipes.

The one I use is 2 celery sticks, 2 carrot sticks, 1-2 apples, 1 beet, 1/2-1 c water, and any lettuce/spinach you want to add. You can add honey too. It's good!

Re: Juicer Recipes

My shopping list:

4 bunches of kale $1.99 each
8 cukes $.80 each
4 lbs carrots $.50/lb
1 bag of celery $1.00
2 bags of apples (8 lbs) $7
8 lemons $.25/lemon
Total: $26.40
Makes 8 32 oz juices

I drink 32 oz of juice per day (plus meals) so 8 days worth of groceries

Recipe:
1/2 bunch kale
1 cucumber
1 stalk celery
1/2 lb carrots
2 apples
1 lemon

Each 32 oz juice only costs $3.30.

Re: Juicer Recipes

Ohhh, that recipe sounds good. We do a smoothie every morning with our vitamix that could be adapted.

1 handful spinach
1 handful kale
1 apple
1 wedge of lemon
handful of frozen strawberries
handful of frozen blueberries
handful of frozen mango
1 cup of coconut water, or just water, or a juice
1 TBSP Chia seeds
