Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

Well... I am on a medication that slows growth and weight gain so we are hoping for anything over 6 pounds!

DS #1 9 lbs born @ 40 weeks
DD #1 9 lbs born @ 40 weeks
DS #2 8 lbs 8 oz @ 36 weeks (possible miscalculation?)
DD #2 7 lbs 8 oz @ 40 weeks

So this one who knows!! I had my husband weigh our DD2 again to make sure he got it right the first time LOL I couldn't believe she was so tiny!

Well, I guess that sounds kinda funny when I reread it! This week I start a heart medication which can cause growth restictions and low birth weight for the baby... They monitored the last lo and will do the same to see how the baby handles the medication - I dont really have a choice since the doctors say it is better for the baby then for her to not have efficant blood flow (which also can cause those problems!) because my heart does not pump right. I have already gained 10 pounds and am 19 weeks We try not to take the medication early because the problems are much more extreame...

My son was 7 lbs at 39w3d, so I'm guessing between 7-8 lbs, closer to 7 1/2. That's assuming/hoping that this one is born after 39 weeks but before, say, 40w3d.

Re: How big do you think your newbie will be?

DD was 8 pounds, 7 ounces at 41 weeks. She was short and stubby. She literally came out with rolls. We thought she was going to be long (my husband is 6'5") and she was this little sumo wrestler.

I'm thinking this one will be around 9 pounds. I hope it's not the case and that he is closer to 7 or 8, but I'm thinking 9.
