Smile Yay! Simple Green & Washing Soda

http://www.mother-ease.com/wwwboard/messages/Default.asp/sub/show/action/posts/fid/1/tid/13914

So after hearing about the enzymes in Tide that clean so well (which we're allergic too)
I tried Bac Out (which has enzymes) w/ Washing Soda. Bam! this cleaned so well. Well, I'm not a huge fan of citrus smell for cleaning and it's rather expensive
So I googled enzyme cleaners and I hardly found any, except Simple Green. I like Simple Green. So I tried it on 2 hand-washed dipes and there was no rash.
Next, I googled to check to for safety before I buy more Bac Out...and it looks like I'll put off buying some because
Other mothers have discovered Simple Green and Washing Soda, too, and swear by it! Just thought I'd share what I found out.
And, even though it does have fragrance, I love it and we're not allergic

Re: Yay! Simple Green & Washing Soda

I tried this a few years ago, but it didn't work for me. I may try it again when we run out of Tide. Glad you found something that works for you and meets your criteria.

Re: Yay! Simple Green & Washing Soda

me too. Cuts my hard water. That http://www.ewg.org/guides/cleaners freaks me out, though. But, the only A that I've seen referred to as "works great" is the Oxiclean - which (along with vinegar etc) has been recommended not to use because it's too harsh. Take care.
