Front load to top load

I am currently washing in a front loading HE machine. Our routine has been working well-cold pre wash, hot heavy duty load with extra rinse and I use country save detergent. We have sold our house and will be living in an apartment for 3 months during the transition. The apartment has a top loader machine. What wash system do you use? Do I need to use more soap?

Re: Front load to top load

We have a FLer and a TLer, I rarely use the TLer for diapers but I don't do much different when I do. My TLer routine is cold rinse with a small amount of detergent and sometimes bleach, warm "heavy duty" wash with the full recommended amount of detergent (I use HE detergent because that's what we have for the FLer), and a cold rinse. I do an extra rinse in the FLer but never in the TLer, it's never caused problems to skip it. HTH!
