Procion dyes, now what?

Well I bought the dyes but I am scared to start... i have some bamboo velour, bamboo terry, cotton velour and some t-shirts I want to dye to upcycle into kitchen cloths.

I have the Washing soda/ Soda Ash (is that Lectric soda? Sodium carbonate? Are they all the same thing?)

I need some tips so I don't make any beginner's mistakes. Help please? TIA.

Re: Procion dyes, now what?

I can't post a link, since I'm new, but **** Blick (an art supply store that sells procion) has a YouTube channels a good tutorial on Procion Dye, it talks about the tie dye kit, but the info it essentially the same. The title is Tie Dying with Procion Jaquard.

Have fun!
