That probably wouldn't be the best response, I suppose.
It's not me either - 40 weeks with both babies and no, I'm not impatient. I think that's what gets me - everyone seems to WANT me to be all 'need to get this baby OUT!!'. It seems to bug them that I'm all 'meh, I'm only 40'.

I dunno. Maybe someone needs to say it to them!

Gotta jump in the shower now - hope all goes well!

Re: The ticking time bomb...

Those exact words were on my mind when I looked on here this morning to see who's had their babies! The phone calls have started, I can't call anyone without saying that I'm not in labor, and going out... ugh, the questions! Strangers asking how dilated I am, if they're going to take the babies at a certain point, when my c-sec is scheduled (and so surprised that I'm not planning one!) On the upside, people do try to be accomodating to anything I need!
I do not want to hear "any day now" again anytime soon though!

Re: The ticking time bomb...

Amen! All of mine have been late. My first was 11 days late, second a week late, and this one was due yesterday. My OB keeps making the comment that it's great that I've delivered 9lb 2oz and 8lb 13 oz babies, but "we" don't want this one getting to 10 lbs.

Re: The ticking time bomb...

THIS and everything below it!! I'm due on the 13th, and all I felt like I heard for the past week were comments about my size, how low I am, and how they can't believe I'm still pregnant.

I also can't even begin to count the 'Let's hope your water doesn't break here!' comments......

Re: The ticking time bomb...

I thought for sure my child would be here by now but he isn't and everyone is driving me nuts too. Every time I call my family the first thing out of their mouths is "calling to tell me you're finally in labor?" I already went into preterm labor at 33 and 36 weeks but of course now that he's full term... Nothing. My Dr made me mad last week when she walked in the room and asked if I wanted to be induced at 39 weeks. I declined of course. Just hang in there, we will all be holding our babies soon!

Re: The ticking time bomb...

Omg! This is so how I was feeling this weekend!!! We had a funeral and then a later Easter celebration and ugh....so sick of people asking me if I've had the baby yet or when ill have it! I mean, does it look like I've had him/her yet?!?! And baby will come when Baby is ready. I am due on Wednesday and people also keep asking me if I'm uncomfortable and comment on how big I've gotten in the last week...well, duh!!! That's what happens when you're pregnant! Your belly gets big! I've only gained 20lbs thank you very much...ugh.

What? Yeah, I had the baby. Just left him at home for fun. They're a lot of work to cart around, ya know!
