If you are good at writing, you can actually do copywriting from home quite easily with websites like Amazon Turk and iWriter
How is the pay with Amazon Turk? I always thought it was quite minimal?

It is but that's because most hits are set up to be really small, short tasks. After you get a few qualifications though, you can get higher paying writing and transcription hits and make about $10 + an hour depending on how quickly you work

good to know. So you get qualifications through doing some easy jobs?

I'm a freelance writer and business blogger, but it's always good to have other options when I'm short on private clients

Yep and you often have a qualification test too that doesn't pay but if you pass then you can get more of the good hits. I recommend installing the add-on Turk Opticon which allows you to avoid hits from people that aren't fair.

Re: does anybody WAH on their computer?

I do transcription work for Quicktate and iDictate. I also do some transcription jobs on Mechanical Turk every once in a while. Did work steadily for ChaCha, but it's a joke now.

Thanks for this thread.. Looking up some of this now. My friend works at zappos from home and loves it. But they are never hiring.

Re: does anybody WAH on their computer?

I worked for LionBridge for over two years. It is legit. However, I could never rely on a steady flow of work and because of this my paychecks were erratic. If it's not your sole source of income and just to supplement, it's good!
