Re: What's the best, reasonably priced ring sling?

I want to buy an Umi Sling. It's made here in the PacNW and one gets sent to a mom in need...kind of like what Toms does with their shoes. The LE prints are super cute!

Re: What's the best, reasonably priced ring sling?

I second SBP. They have a large range of price points --- from $35 for basic twill on up (although if you will be wearing into toddler hood, it's worth spending more for a supportive fabric) and her pleated shoulder is easy to use. I am always buying them as new mama gifts. She provides good written instructions as well.

For well priced single linen, comfy joey makes awesome slings as well, with many colors to choose from.

Another brand not yet mentioned is Zany Toes.

Depending on when you need the sling by, there is also always the Sakura Bloom sample sales (usually June and January) - you can get awesome deals on what are normally pricy double layer linen or silk slings!

I also have a Sleeping Baby Productions RS! It is very well made, and comes with instructions! I loved my ring sling for nursing in public- support and coverage in one!

Re: What's the best, reasonably priced ring sling?

Ive got Little Frog wraps and ring slings for pre-order on my store at http://hyenacart.com/stores/sugardumplings/. They range from $54 for a ring sling or size 4 to $97 for a sz 7 linen blend rainbow. You can also do a deposit for the pre-order so you dont have to pay all at once. We are also on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sugardumplingsfluff

Re: What's the best, reasonably priced ring sling?

I've tried a Zolowear cotton and a Sleeping Baby Productions in cotton twill. I much prefer the glide of the SBP fabric through the rings. I can't get the cotton to budge through the rings on the Zolo! It's got a lot of friction, i guess.

Re: What's the best, reasonably priced ring sling?

I ordered my first ring sling from sleeping baby productions, and it is a great value for the price. She posts on fb when slots will be added so its not too hard to catch one for in stock fabrics, may take a little longer if you want a wrap conversion. She also includes good information on how to wear the sling with your purchase.

Any opinions about whether a linen or cotton sling is better?
