You can probably use your existing training pants with a Dappi Nylon cover to make it waterproof. Make sure you get the nylon kind, not the vinyl kind. Dappi's are super thin and very inexpensive ($5 for 2 pants on Amazon). is going out of business and is having great deals on their cloth trainers right now. I used them for DS1, and they were very good. You have flexibility with absorbancy since you control how many inserts to stuff with. Also, I like that they can be used as "regular" underwear when PL is done.

I really like bububibi bamboo trainers. They are pretty cheap especially if you get them through a coop.
