Used KAM Snap Press???
I have an opportunity to buy a KAM snap press for $75 ppd. The seller says it's in good working order and there aren't any quirky issues. My question is this: does anyone have one that could tell me if this is something that is worth it to buy used, or that I should just bite the bullet and get new?

Lol, uh... I don't think so. Not this brand, for sure. KAM is pretty much the industry standard for snaps at this point. A new one would be about $100+.

Barge as I am not in this board normally.
I have a Kam snap press and I think as long as you have all pieces (2 snap heads and the base for the backer, 4 wrenches) and the press looks complete then you should be good. Not much could go wrong with them except for they may need a bit of oil. Good luck! It sounds like a great deal.

It's a decent deal, I'd go for it. They definitely keep their value, and unless you wait for a coop I don't think you'll find one much cheaper. Mine from a coop was about $65 total, not much cheaper.

Re: Used KAM Snap Press???
There is a coop going on, but by the time I paid for shipping it would be about the same, plus this one has already been modified to have an extended handle. I went ahead and bought it, and it turns out the lady selling it is SUPER nice and is throwing in a bunch of snaps for me, too. So glad I went ahead! And thanks for the info, ladies! Glad to hear they keep their value well!
