Re: August 2013 weekly chat ~ April 21-27

A little peeved at the PO people right now. I ordered my needles and they were supposed to come in on Saturday. Weren't in the mailbox, so I thought Sat they might have been delayed somewhere. Checked the website last night....said they were delivered. Search all around the door, back out in the mailbox....nothing. Then I thought, maybe they were put in DH's grandmother's mailbox which is right next to ours. Check in there....yep. Glad I found them, but I could have been knitting on my next project yesterday. grrrrrr....

Heading to Savannah later to take DS to PT. Like usual, its supposed to rain. I always have to drive on the interstate when it's raining!!!!

Re: August 2013 weekly chat ~ April 21-27

I know I seem to be a chatter box this morning , but I forgot to mention this and I'm SOOOOOOO excited about it. DH is going to order windows for our house today!!!!! We should get them in at the end of next week!!!!! Our house was built in 1890 and has NEVER had new windows. We have so many repairs on this house to do. DH's parents let it go....big time. In less than two years we've already saved enough money to re-roof it (completed in April 2012), and re-plumb it (completed in Oct. 2012), so I'm glad to finally do something else on this place that will make it look better.

We can't afford to do all of the windows at once, so we'll only be getting half of them now and will have to get the other half later. But it's a start. Even after the windows are completed, we still need to completely re-build the front porch (it's literally falling down and we don't go out there right now....which is a shame) before we'll be able to work on the inside.

Katie- we bought a used 2pc kitchen set a few yrs back and the kids loved it! but it was thin and cheap and we finally had to toss it. I want to get them a new one that's more solid.

Man- yesterday I felt so crappy all day. I woke up today sore and achey. ugh. can't win. And this boy is kickin the crap outta my insides!
Today is going to be so nice out, 84! And by Thurs night, chance of snow, lol. Hate this time of yr!!!
Lots to do today since I slacked all wknd.

Katie- that's super!!! I know how awesome it is to have all that stuff done. We had to gut our house, and dh redid everything himself in our house. So he was able to run ductwork for a/c and heat, new plumbing, added a 1/2 bth, and all new electric. Windows were one of the first things we did too, and what a difference that made!! Our porch is in pretty sad shape as well. But that won't get fixed until hopefully next yr. We have to replace the windows in our sunroom this yr.
