My Mood:
Recommend a mei tai please

Looking for a mei tai that I can use with my newborn. Been keeping an eye out for a used BabyHawk, but I don't want to limit myself to that one if I don't have to. A reasonable priced one too.
And I am looking for a used one, so if you have one up for sale - or haven't posted it yet, let me know!

I don't like MTs at the newb stage but prefer stretchy wraps & RS. But, starting around 3 months or so, I love my Kozy.

Re: Recommend a mei tai please

I have a infantino mei tai. I believe infantino calls it a wrap and tie. It's a cheaper, $30-$40, mei tai that you can get from target. I am currently trying to get a wrap conversion mei tai. I love my woven wraps!! And I love my mei tai!! It's more for medium babies as little babies legs can't fit in it as well and it's not as supportive as I would like for 20lbs+ kiddos. A WCMT will fit a infant on up. I don't have a specific brand to recommend.

I'd avoid a MT for a newborn, as it doesn't provide the lateral support that's important at that age. If you can get a relatively cheap wrap, moby, baby k'tan etc. that or a RS is your best bet. But only baby is a bit older a decent cheap MT is the infantino MT. You can find them at target.

I'd skip the infantino. Freehand is the best small mei tai and you can find them cheaply on amazon.com or occasionally frogmama.com has them on clearance/used.
