Best toddler/back back back carries?

Im a MT user going to wovens with an 18 month old who is used to the MT and its speed.

Throw me some back carry ideas for a woman with a twice broken back and once broken hip? Hunching over for more than 45-60 seconds is agonizing.

Re: Best toddler/back back back carries?

I like a double hammock carry, but it does require a fair amount of bending over. Maybe a secure high back carry would work, it uses a half knot in the front so the carry is partially secured while you do the rest so maybe you could stand up more once that first part is tied. Another thing that might help is tucking the bottom rail of the wrap into the baby's waistband before you put them on your back, that way you've already created a nice seat and you don't have to fiddle around with it as much. If you do that, you can get a ruck done pretty quick.

Go to YouTube, type in shortycarries and look for Tonya Tougas. She was a great video with quick and easy back carries. Once you learn them, some are obviously quicker than others, you can do them fairly fast.

Did you get a woven wrap for better support / hoping it'll be more comfortable?
