When I had DD, It was almost 36 hours before I got to eat after getting to the hospital for my induction... With DS it was only about 4 hours...

I was induced... Induction meds started at around 10PM Tuesday.... after we finished a full round of Pitocin with no results (around 1PM Wednesday), they let me take a break. I got to take a shower and eat. Then, no food again. I had DD at 5AM on Thursday. It was probably mid-morning on Thursday before I got to eat again.

I was allowed water throughout though.

With dd I threw up a few times before going to the hospital, so it was basically like I hadn't eaten anything that day. Then at the hospital I threw up a couple more times. I really wasn't interested in eating and I doubt I could have kept anything down anyway. I had an IV so I wasn't thirsty. I would have had water if I hadn't had the IV. I don't care if they would have let me or not!

I don't think I was, but I'm not sure because I slept through my entire labor.
