Tips for a short trip away from baby

Hi ladies, I will be taking a short trip (3 days) without DD. I plan on pumping while I am away and will have a mini fridge in my hotel room to freeze milk for storage. However, I am concerned with getting the milk back. The flight is about an hour long and travel time to/from airport is likely to take an additional two hours. Since I assume I should not refreeze the milk, how long is the milk good for once I get home?

I would not put it in the freezer at all. Once defrosted it is only good for 24 hrs. If kept in the back of the fridge it can be refrigerated for up to a week. Get a cooler bag and freeze the ice pack on your trip, then put the refrigerated milk in the cooler bag. It should keep it cold enough to put in the fridge when you get home and you would still have 4 days to use it.

Not sure if this is possible, but you could refridgerate it till you get home then freeze it. If it is good for a week it will be good to freeze logically even after a couple days. I am sure someone with more experience will chime in. I used to pump over a day or 2 then freeze.

Exactly what I would do.
