Swimming for 3 month old?

I'm having a hard time finding swimwear in a 3 months size. I can find some swim diapers that will fit (she is 9 lbs), but I cannot find any sort of top that is smaller than 6 months or 10-18 lbs. Anyone know where to find something for her?

Also, I don't plan on taking her to a chlorine pool, just let her splash around in a little wading pool in our yard. Would she be too young for a chlorine pool?

Carters store. I wouldn't do chlorine often but it'd be OK every once in awhile

Carters and Gymboree are what we have. I took my kids to the pool frequently last summer when DD2 was 2-5 months old. I would dip her feet in sometimes

Re: Swimming for 3 month old?

I started taking my kids to the pool at 6 weeks. I didn't put them under water until 3 months. Old navy has smaller sizes.

What about rinsing off before or after the pool? Do you do both? What would you do at a public park, no access to fresh water to rinse her...

I had an iplay swimsuit with the build in swim diaper. They are made small(so look at weight limits) but I loved mine.

Cant help with swimwear (didnt have one that tiny during a summer) but I started taking dd2(born end of june) by 2mos. If the pool didnt have a rinse shower(only used to rinse pool/salt water off) I just bathed her as soon as I could-sometimes a couple hrs later.

I took my littles at 3mos and just used the swim dipe - no swimwear at all. I did both chlorine & salt-water pools, and washed them off well after in the shower.

I found one sensitive to temperature, so it was better to do the therapeutic chlorine pool than a cooler salt-water pool, even with her eczema.
