My first spinning class? It was awful. I threw up. In front of the class. Now? I can bike up a canyon and not throw up.

Try again.

Fear is normal.

Don't waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour's duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Focus on the now. Right now I can run one minute.

When next week comes and the ante is upped, take a deep breath, put your head down and just go. Do not listen to the voices that tell you can't. Listen to lone voice, the voice of dissension that says "I can."

And then do it. Because that lone voice of dissension is right. You know it is.

Re: Couch to 5K anyone?

Can I join? I'm just starting out, completed W1D1 two days ago and will do W1D2 tomorrow! (Busy weekend so had to take a 2 day break). I love the free app for it, it's so easy to get done my workout for the day when I can park my treadmill right in front of the TV, and just listen for the beeps for when I need to start/stop jogging. So far it seems pretty easy but I'm sure that won't last for long!

Can I join too? I need to do this! I started it back in January but quit when I got my new job. I need to pick it up again. I am in the worst shape of my life right now!

Did you know you should be a motivational speaker. You are the "voice" that says get off yer arse lady and GO! when all I want to do is drown in a bag of Doritos! lol

I'm positive you're much more well-spoken than that, but it works for me.

It's okay to feel the fear. That's the feeling you should get when you see your limitation and dare to push past it.

It's not okay to let it paralyze you.

It's not okay to let it keep you from pushing that limit.

So when you're faced with that moment, when you're standing on the precipice of redefining what you can do, take a deep breath, shake off that fear and just go.

I just did week2/day1 this afternoon and I thought it was really hard!!!!!

How fast are you all walking/jogging? I'm trying to push myself to go harder and faster and burn more calories every workout but I'm finding I'm pretty sore the next day. Normal? I usually walk at 3.5-3.7 and jog anywhere from 5.5-6.2. Any slower and it feels like I'm running in slow motion!
