Diaper change -stress time!

currently my technique is to recite one of her favorite stories to her during a diaper change. she can finish the lines of Hippos Go Beserk so that keeps her somewhat busy. or being super-super silly singing & making faces and so on helps some too. and it also generally helps me keep it all in perspective. i've tried changing her standing up but a)that totally doesn't work for poopy diapers and b)she doesn't really hold still any better for that.

MY DS is this way and tries to crawl away and I have to drag him back, he thinks its just a game. Its oh so much fun when you are trying to do it quickly

I'll have to do the trick w/the harmonica! DH plays and bought DD a small one a while back. That one would be perfect for him to hold!

OMGOSH YES, Aidan has been doing this for months now I hate it, it takes me forever and when dh is home on weekends I tell him he has to help me, and he says how do you do it though the week without me, I say it takes me FOREVER. I told my mom the other day, if hes still doing this in about 6 months when he is a year and half, I WILL BE putting him on the potty to see if he wants to potty train, if not oh well atleast I tried.
