Are metal topped pins any improvement on the plastic topped ones ?

I use the plastic ones at the mo but they aren't very strong when pushing them through a few layers of cloth especially if DS won't lie still !

Re: Pins

Dritz are the best, sharpest, easiest to use. I don't think the metal head matters, just the sharpness of the needles. There are generic ones that look like Dritz but they aren't the same.

Re: Pins

I agree Dritz are my absolute favorite. GMD are second favorite and those are both plastic head.

I need to try some dritz pins, I think. I have gmd and some other brand, and I've never managed to get the other brand to *ever* work. I'm constantly losing pins (usually when I switch from flats to pockets while not at the bassinet), so I need more pins, but I don't need anything else from gmd, and I'm scared to try any other brands!

I love you mamas that use pins :-)) Im pretty clumsy and would more than likely stick myself of DD. I use boingos since I like the fit of a double style closure (like pins).
