This is great info, I'm interested in making the switch to wool, too. For those of you do only use one/two soakers a day, if a soaker does get wet, do you just let it dry in between changes, or does it need to be washed then?

Thanks! I've decided to try it out with making my own, I found the Katrina's soaker pattern and got four wool sweaters today at two thrift stores. A cheap way to try it out, I'm sure I will become obsessed and want to try all the great options, but for a start I should be able to make 3-4 large soakers, (which also fills my crafting need too!). Keep 'em coming, when my obsession takes off I'm going to need lots of shops to peruse! Lol..
