Re: 3rd labors faster or slower?

DS1: 12 hours, was 40 weeks
DS2: 3 hours, was 35 weeks
DD1: 5 hours, was 35 weeks
DD2: Depends on how you look at it. I had irregular contractions starting at 9am, but never felt like I was in labor. At 6:39, I sent my friend a picture of my daughter and I playing together. At 6:41, I had my first "this is labor contraction" and my water broke. My daughter was born at 7pm. So 10 hours if you want to count the contractions that were ten minutes apart all day, 20 minutes if you only count the contractions that were painful and five minutes apart. I was 39.5 weeks and baby was posterior until water broke.

Re: 3rd labors faster or slower?

#1- 7 hours, my only epidural medicated birth
#2- 4 hours, hospital natural
#3- 3 hours, homebirth
#4- 5 hours, homebirth She got stuck momentarily we discovered. She ended up birthing an arm and a shoulder first. There was an "ah-ha" moment in labor where it is obvious that she un-wedged herself and she born less than 30 minutes later.
Really hoping #5 decides to come out quick and easy. LOL

Re: 3rd labors faster or slower?

#1-24-25ish hrs
#2-3 hrs
#3-I'm very anxious to see how this one is going to go. If it ends up being another really quick labor and delivery, then we might have to seriously consider home birth for the next one.

Re: 3rd labors faster or slower?

My 3rd and 6th were my longest labors at 10 & 12 hours. :/ The other 4 ranged from 2-6hrs.

#1 6 hours
#2 30 minutes (yes, minutes!)
#3 22 hours (he was in a funny position, we think he had both hand up by his head. It took a while to get him to move them but once he did things moved very quickly)
