Ebay Shipping Question

Ok, so it's been a while since I've sold anything on Ebay, but they used to allow you to print through them, and then they take the shipping after they release the funds. I'm not seeing that option anymore. I sold a lot of clothes on Ebay that I stuffed into a MFRB, and I went to print the label tonight, and it's trying to charge my paypal. I have nothing in there but the funds they have on hold lol. I really don't want to go to the PO and pay more than I have to Is there any way I can get that option back, or have they done away with it for good?

Re: Ebay Shipping Question

"Can I pay for shipping with money in my pending balance?
When you print labels and pay for shipping through PayPal or eBay, the cost of shipping is released from your pending balance shortly after purchase. Printing labels on PayPal and eBay is free. You pay only the cost of shipping the item."

link to this here https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mp...s-availability

ETA: they have always taken the money for shipping out of my pending balance.

Re: Ebay Shipping Question

Just a note about that though, they will only take pending money that you charges for shipping. Say you sold a box of clothing for $30, but $10 was specifically marked on your eBay listing for shipping. It costs you $13 to ship, so eBay/PayPal will release the $10 you charged specifically for shipping from your pending balance, but they will charge you the other $3. That happened to me every single time when I was first starting on eBay.

OK, so it still hasnt released any funds. This really sucks lol it keeps trying to charge my debit card which has exactly $0.19. Idk what's going on. Guess I have to go to the PO.

If I remember right, I think it does charge you and then it releases the funds afterwards. Like it reimburses you, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. Only the amount you had charged the buyer for shipping, though.

Re: Ebay Shipping Question

You can choose for the payment for shipping to come out after they release your funds - BUT funds can be held for 21 days.

See that's what I used to do. Now I'm not seeing the option to do it.

I always do it through PayPal directly. I just click to print a shipping label from the transaction and then on the right side right before you click to buy postage or whatever there are 2 options to have it deducted now or have it deducted from the payment when funds are released. I generally always sell things with free shipping and they always pull it from the balance. Another poster said they will only do it for up till the shipping amount you listed on the item, I don't find this to be true.
