New to FSOT and no feedback, what to do?

Okay so I'm registered as a seller now, figured out photobucket, I've read the stickies about using FSOT and making informative posts, and I'm ready to go...

But is the fact that I have no feedback ratings going to deter people from buying from me? In addition to enjoying the community, I'm here to sell off a relatively small number of outgrown/unused diapers. I don't regularly sell things anywhere besides occasionally my local Craiglist.

I can completely understand that buyers probably want some positive feedback before sending payment. How do new sellers overcome this obstacle?

It'll probably defer a few buyers, along with your low post count.

IMO, if you post enough in the community (non-FSOT) so that people get to know you and recognize your screen name, the feedback score doesn't matter as much. A low post count and no feedback will scare some people off. Maybe try purchasing some items or FFS to get some quick feedback, or go make a ton of posts

I definitely agree with the bolded if you're concerned. Offering some things FFS is a great way to get feedback and build a FSOT name for yourself. Pretty much everyone has *something* they want to just give away.

40 posts in a month is actually pretty good, so even though it's "low" you are quite active and you shouldn't have a problem.

Just be sure to post lots of pictures and very detailed descriptions
