Re: # of covers for a NB?

Should be as long as the covers aren't getting very dirty every time We'll just air dry it for lightly soaked diaper and if anything hand wash them quickly. They do dry very quickly anyway.

If you're pinning or using a snappi, it should be enough. As above, you can always rinse or handwash them quickly. DD had super liquid poo, though (who knew she had a dairy intolerance?), so 5 or so is the minimum number I'd recommend. I have 8 PUL, 2 fleece, & a handful of wool for these babies & feel good about that number b/c we're mostly doing fitteds (I was terrible at getting a good leg fit w/ PFs).

How many prefolds and flats do you have/expect them to last through. Shoot for 3-4 changes per cover. If you are trying to get by with 15-20 then yes. Otherwise I'd say only if you plan on hand washing.

Re: # of covers for a NB?

When using covers I have 19 prefolds, a bunch of fitteds and about a dozen flats. plan to snappi.

I have 5 size 1 thirsties Duo.. but also have a few NB proraps... I just know the baby will grow out of the proraps fast. I also have some NB pockets and AIO to mix it up

I think you can make it work with 5, but I would be more conformable with at least 8 with the stash you have.

5 sounds fine. I got by with 3, but I didn't cover all the time.

Re: # of covers for a NB?

I had 4 which was manageable for the first few weeks, then acquired 2 more. 5 is a good number.

I'm thinking i will end up with 6 thirsties size 1 duo wraps and 1 or 2 thirsties xs.

What are your thoughts on the nb proraps over flats, prefolds, Sandy's xs and kissaluvs 0? They just seem so tiny
