Question Homemade AIOs

Hi! Before my son was born this year I was determined to make my own stash of fluff. I almost completed all of them before mr made his entrance, early. Unfortunately sensitive skin combined with a babe who unrines frequently, I gave up. (When I lost a battle with a nasty diaper rash.)

I want to try again though! He is 6mos and i feel brave!

I have a very basic washer with only cold/cold, warm/cold, and hot/cold options. I also made the diapers out of alova, and was using infant chinese prefolds as inserts. Any pointers are GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!
Emily

Re: Homemade AIOs

I too am hoping to make my own diapers for my son. You will probably get a better response in the Diaper Related Chat forum if you are just looking for general information on cloth diapering. There's also a Craft Chat forum that is great about making things.

If you're asking about laundry I do a cold wash, then a hot wash with detergent and cold rinse, then a cold rinse. I dry my natural fibers and inserts on delicate and hang dry the PUL.
