Best brand of cast iron?

I know vintage is the best, but when we move I won't have the time to look and search for each piece, and it's way to spendy down here. I'll have access to a Wal-Mart and online so pretty limited in that way as well. I was going to stick with what Wal-Mart offered but I've heard it sucks? Any tips?

Lodge
I would make sure it's made in the USA and not China

Shoot, I would bring my cast iron - even if I had to pack it in my bag....

I don't have any yet other than a cast iron enamelware dutch oven.

Re: Best brand of cast iron?

Oh, LOL! I found some awesome cast iron deals from garage sales. They look horrible all rusty and ghetto, but they clean up beautifully! Found a huge Lodge camp cast iron dutch oven that normally goes for $80 retail for only $10 with a carrying case at a garage sale this summer... That thing is awesome!

For new, I would check out amazon. They currently have a lot of sales going on for Lodge cast iron.

Vintage is the fad here where I live currently. A fully rusted small pan is literally going for $30+ let alone anything in a decent condition. :/
