Hair loss

I'm 25 weeks pg and feel like I'm losing kind of a lot of hair. I mean, it's normal for me to lose this amount this time of year when I'm not pregnant, but I don't remember doing this with my other two pregnancies. Also, my scalp is itchy, dry, and flaky. It was like this about ten months ago when I was on estradiol, and got better when I stopped the med (pre-pregnancy.)

Of course I just saw my OB this week and didn't even think to ask him about it. I won't go back for four weeks.

So ... hormones? Normal?

Next time you see your Dr I would ask about a thyroid blood test just to make sure you aren't low...... I personally don't remember losing hair while pregnant but it has been awhile

Re: Hair loss

Ok I'll do that. I did have it tested earlier in the year and the endocrinologist said the levels were normal. My mom, her sister, their mom & her mom all have/had thyroid issues and I've always figured I would too, eventually.

My hair is too. It also fell out a lot last winter, so Im worried about this winter & the PP period. I had bloodworm done a few months ago & everything seemed fine.
At my next midwife appointment I'll be asking again. It freaks me out! :/ I've considered it could be a lot- thyroid, candida overgrowth (I also am probe to yeast) adrenal fatigue, leaky gut syndrome ect.
