Youngest three are getting Kindle Fires that dh got for $50 each off craigslist type site (local one).
Pajamas. They all want one piece footie ones.....even my 15 year old.
Girls are getting rainbow looms from a co-op ($3.99 each!!)
Legos for ds.
Bath&Body stuff for the oldest two girls.

Re: Want to talk Christmas?

We have no money to spend this year, so we are pretty much relying on the generosity of others for ours kids to have a Christmas this year.

So far my only definite gifts for my 4 are a Dollar Tree coloring book each, and some candy for their stockings (extra Halloween candy we were given even though we don't celebrate Halloween).

We did sign up for Toys for Tots and will be relying on that for the first time. We thought we were going to need it last year but were able to come up with enough without it.

We usually buy them each a new pair of PJs for Christmas Eve, but I doubt I can do that unless I borrow money from someone and find some on Black Friday.

I originally was planning to buy them each a basic backpack and fill it with "nature walk"/hiking stuff like inexpensive binoculars, a sketch pad, colored pencils, a compass for the older kids, a flashlight, and "specimen collection bags" (just various size ziplocs); but it looks like that will cost too much for this year.
UPDATE: Someone on a homeschool group helped with the cost of the backpacks and the binoculars, and my neighbor said she wanted to buy the sketchbooks and pencils as a gift from her (she gave me the $ to pick up what we wanted). Now I just need to come up with the money for flashlights and ziplocs!

The only others we exchange with are my nieces and nephew. My nephew is only 2 and will be getting a bath toy set we bought on last Christmas. We decided not to exchange gifts on that side because my BIL just lost his job. My nieces will be getting hand me down dress up clothes that my girls no longer play with. (Don't worry, my sister and I both do super thrifty, creative, and often gently used stuff as gifts for each other's kids every year. Its almost a game of who can come up with the best gift for the least money!)
