First Response vs. EPT

I had great luck w/ First Response 2 years ago, but now they look completely different and I read that they aren't as sensitive as they were.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions about one over the other? Did one work for you while the other didn't? How soon did you get a result with either of these? I don't want to waste my money on a brand that's not as good. These test get expensive!

I always go with dollar store brand , with my first a dollar store test worked at 7 dpo , this time the day before AF was due , both were right no problem ! The only brand name test I ever did was a clear blue easy which was also right and it was the same day as the 1st pg dollar store one but much darker .

i was a equate fan personally , cheap walmart test and they showed positive for me before any of the others, f irst response was always less sensitive for me and the lines are so faint , but i'd still take them too because i figured if i had a ++ on that i was definately prego lol best wishes to you

this pregnancy- i used a FRER.

At night w/o FMU i POAS with FRER and there was a faint, almost (-) line.

Then i tested next morning with FMU with Answer brand and 2 lines showed right up, no guessing.

so i wouldnt say "yes id gladly use FRER" but i wouldnt say they stink either. i have never used EPT. sorry.

I also recommend the Equate brand........$10+ gets you three in their bonus packs. Dollar store tests are the way to go in the early testing days......you don't feel as guilty ($$$ wise) when you use them as often.

I always use the ones they sell at Dollar Tree. They always work for me. Plus I'm like a peestick addict so they help me save money.

I am all for the dollar store tests....they showed my BFP the same day that the FRER showed it (not sure how many dpo but it was a few days before AF was due). You can stock up for cheap with those!
