Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

WTG Mamas!!!!!!!

We installed energy efficient light bulbs throughout our house. I got this awesome deal at Costco over the weekend. 4 packs of energy effiecient spot lights were 12.99 - got to the register and there was a 9.00 instant rebate - so I got each package for 3.99! YEAH!

Turned off the A/C inside - it is warm but we will be OK.

I'm not sure what to do to make them less flat though
I didn't see any baking soda/baking powder in the recipe. I'd skip this one and try another one. There's a really good one I have for double chocolate brownies. I'll post the link when I find it. (if i do)

This week:
1) brought lunch from home, gave up most of my soda and started making my own iced coffee ($50 saved)
2) made DS 5 new fleece covers for diapers. I spent some money getting the fabric but from $6, I got 5 plus probably enough for another 2.
3) hung all clothes out so far. (~10 loads so far this week)
4) used up 9 over-ripe bananas that we forgot about by making banana muffins and breads.

Though I spent $25 more on grocery this week due to having to pack school lunches. I thought it was high until I realized it was less than $1 per child (and me).

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

1 Haven't made any extra trips to the grocery this week.
2 All the kids lunches for school have been homemade.
3 Haven't gone anywhere (saved gas money).
4 Dried diapers outside (even though they turned out crunchy).

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

Mine aren't that great, considering I was spending money to save money, if that makes any sense!

We are going to the beach Saturday with friends that rented a cottage (kind of came up fast!) and I needed a few clothing items and a new swimsuit. So, I started at Macy's since I had a store credit there...found 2 shirts, capris and a skirt all on the sale rack. Then went to Marshall's b/c my mom said they were having a great clearance sale and ended up splurging and getting 2 swimsuits, but they were marked down to $5 each!! They had been 29.99 regular price! I got matching swimsuits for DD and the other 1 year that is going for $1 each! (Will be soooo cute for pictures!) ots of summer items were marked down to $3 or $5 each!
~I combined my shopping trips so I only went out once to save on gas
~started my change jar challenge
~made lunch for DH for tomorrow with dinner leftovers
and that's all I can think of for now!

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

1)I hit a yard sale on Sunday and got 15 items of clothing for dd for $2.50 and also a bag of free books for dd for mentioning Freecycle!!
2)My bestfriend gave me a large bag of garden fresh green beans tonight that someone had shared with her (she took what she needed).
3)Shopped at CVS earlier this week for their sale items and extra care bucks (got a good deal on coffee for DH with their sale and a coupon...going back tomorrow to get more with another coupon and the extra care bucks...he'll be set for awhile!)
4)Remembered to grab my coupons before going grocery shopping...I am very forgetful with them for some reason
5)Sold something today on an auction site for a nice profit (first time!)
6)Started Bday and Xmas shopping for dd...got her some cute GUC toys at a good price!!
7)Took my sewing machine in for some help with it...fixed for free (simple problem thankfully) now I can start some sewing projects I've wanted to do!!
