Has anyone gone to Disney homeschool days?

We are looking into going this fall, so I was wondering if anyone has gone and what they thought about it.

Re: Has anyone gone to Disney homeschool days?

I do not personally homeschool (I have the desire but that's another story!), but a good friend has three daughters she homeschools and they went this past year and said it was a blast. She actually went with her children and another homeschooling friend and her children.

If you have specific questions, I could ask her.

I did not know Disney had homeschooling days! Can someone tell me about it?

I called Disney yesterday and they said that the fall dates were not released yet, but they should be this month. They said it will probably take place in October.

From what I understand it works like this: The tickets are discounted quite a bit. But all the students have to go to a general seminar for a couple of hours one day where they teach them something. The theme is different every year. Then there are additional classes that are optional or you can just enjoy the parks.

Too Cool! I will have to tell my mom about this one. She wants to take our oldest to Disney but so do my IL. So we will have to see who wins.

Do you have to go in a group? Or is the group there?

Re: Has anyone gone to Disney homeschool days?

We went to Legoland homeschool day here in Florida - never heard of a Disney day though, so that sounds very cool. The Legoland day was awesome! It's on a Monday so absolutely no lines or crowds. Adults get in for $20 and kids over 3 are only $8. That beats a normal $80 adult ticket each! And we were allowed to bring in snacks and water. So for less than one ticket, we all went. They have a waterpark that's open all week during the hot months and added that on for only $5 a ticket. Our homeschool group goes to Sea World once a year at a greatly discounted price. They go as a group and get a really cool private class with it.
