Re: HELP w/ organic shopping

I know Whole foods has their own line of products that's usually cheaper. It's called 365, or 365 Organic..(depending if it's organic or not). I've found that stuff is pretty cheap. They have shampoo and conditioner for 1.99 each! Stock up on frozen foods, things that you can't usually get at your local store!
Check out the bulk bin aisle too! Most all of that is organic! They've got some awesome almond vanilla granola!!

Have fun! I love shopping at whole foods! (grab a chocolate chip muffin in the bakery too!!)

Re: HELP w/ organic shopping

Check out where things are made or grown. Local foods are best because they are often both fresher and have the added benefit of helping your immune system.

If you are on a budget there are certain things that are more important to buy organic and other things where buying organic isn't as important this is something that is important to consider if you are on a budget.

If there are foods where you will be eating the skin you will probably want to buy those organic other foods where the skin is removed are more ok to buy at the regular grocery.

here's a website to let you know which ones are higher on the list to buy organic and which ones don't matter as much! Have fun! We LOVE Trader Joe's pizza dough. CHEAP 99cents and you can freeze it. It's SOOO yummy and a cheap easy dinner. I wish we had a trader joes, the closest one is about an hour from us too.

Ditto the bulk bins! I got some organic brown rice the other day.

Ditto what everyone else said. I don't have a Trader Joe, though.

ohh I totally second the pizza dough!! I love the whole wheat one! yum!! We used to live where our Trader Joe's is, but in March we moved an hour north! boo!! BUt I cant wait to go shop there this weekend! Trader Joe's is so cheap and I love that you can actually find the whole wheat version of things w/o having a scavenger hunt!!!

I love the granola and the honey sesame sticks from TJ's! yumm!
