This. We never had a bucket seat and restaurants were the only time I felt it may have been helpful. Otherwise I used a wrap or carrier we went. That being said with several older kids and possible schedules to keep for them, the bucket may have the advantage of disrupting sleep schedules much less, bc baby doesn't ever have to be transitioned and often woken up in the process. Good luck deciding!!
