I have in the past and still would now...I had a terrible time trying to find someone who needed bm...and wasnt grossed out by the idea od feeding their lo my milk.

DITTO. Too bad I can't pump very much.

I love that "in the olden days" mamas would nurse other babies if the other mama got sick or anything. I would probably be better at that than pumping.

Mama, I consider your need a medical reason. As someone else mentioned, I would not donate my milk to a mama who wouldn't pump because it was too hard or time consuming for her.

I am seriously considering pumping for this reason with our next baby. I would love to donate to another mama. When Adrian was born, I had no idea that there were milk banks, or that some other mama may need (and actually WANT!) my spare BM. Adrian has never taken a bottle, so I didn't continue pumping, and never got a decent supply when I did pump randomly. Believe it or not, I briefly considered trying to start building a supply now, but because we've been ttc for 9mths now, I don't want to compromise my chances of conception even further.
