here it is
dappi with kool-aid

put water and vingear to boil, dissolve kool-aid color of choice
cool some so to not melt dappi
add, soak (i think I left it around 20 or 30 minutes)
cool water rinse
i didn't have any bleeding probs in the wash
paint when dry LOL

Re: Dappi dye job! Look what the dairy fairy is sending someone ....

The fairied mom in question received her gift and says THANK YOU very much! She had her baby girl on Sunday, eventually by c/s. Baby weighed 10 lbs 10 ozs! Wowsa! Mom and baby are at home doing well. She asked that I please thank you for the too cute cover- and the pink burp cloths- as well as the dipes we traded for. Thank you so much for being sooooo generous!!

I have some Dappis I just might have to try that on. How much water, vinegar and Kool-Aide??

Thanks again!!

ummmm I guess it was kind of like i cook ..... not that exact
it was a med size cook pot about 3/4 full of water and vinegar (probably a cup or so was vingear ... i think i just poured some in )
and i used one packet of kool-aid and a little yellow egg coloring (couple drops) because the yellow looked to light
I had 3 covers in there ... and put wooden spoons to hold them down

Will this work for any pocket/aio?? What about the inner part of the diaper?

It is BEAUTIFUL btw... can you do this for clothes too? I love the look of tie dye but have never done it...

This is only good for nylons and wool that i know of
i know cottons and poly don't take it
i've used rit dyes without bleeding problems for cotton clothes before!
