Lands End children's clothes - sizes?

Do their sizes run small? I've never ordered from there before, but there's some things I want to order for DD. I'm a little confused by the sizes though. They list a 7/8 as "small". I'm used to buying places that call 7/8 "medium". If DD fits into 7s right now, and I buy the LE 7/8 "small", will that work? (According to the charts it should be fine, but I want to order several things and really don't want to return it all.

Thanks!

True to size. If anything, slightly large, but mostly true to size. We have bought many things from there over the years. The only thing I would check is the pants. We haven't bought many bottoms from there and my girls always had to have the slims anyway, so I'm not sure how their bottoms run.

I also say true to size. But I find their jackets run a little big. I just ordered a bunch of back to school things for my dd from lands end!

I also say true to size. DD is a 10, and the 10/12 are slightly big on her (not huge, but room to grow). Exactly the size I was looking for!

True to size to a little big. Many of the bottoms have adjustable waists, which is a nice touch. If you do need to return stuff, it is so easy, you can just take it to a Sears store. The Sears at our local mall actually has a lands end mini-store within, selection not as good at the website but if you can find one of those, it's a way to try things on for fit.

I also love that they have skirts for little girls that reach the knee.

True to size. I don't necessarily think they run big (except, as pp said, jackets. They do run large). It's more that, for girls, the clothes aren't really slim cut. I bought whatever size DD1 was & they accomodated a trim CD bum & her monster thighs. She's still solid w/ no butt, but I have to size up in ON or whatever pants.
