you can never count on toddler schedules...

DD has been skipping her naps I would say 4/5 days for a few weeks now. I decided to purposefully skip her nap today for a few reasons. For one, she slept late until 9am. Two, she starts back at daycare tomorrow and needs to wake up early, so I wanted to be able to put her to bed a little early.

Well......now it is 6:30pm and she is sound asleep lying against me on the couch. I normally put her to bed around 9pm or 9:30pm.

So now I can't decide what to do. I tried waking her, but she is OUT. Do I let her sleep for 30 minutes or so and then try to wake her? I'm afraid if I do that the power nap will be just enough to keep her up super late. Or do I just go ahead and put her to bed? I'm afraid if I do that she'll wake up at 11pm or 12am and be like, "that was a sweet nap! let's play!"

I'm thinking this is a lose-lose situation...

Might as well let her sleep. You should rest to in case your up all night. Mine pulled this today to. She never would take a nap & fell asleep at 7 & got up at 9 ready to eat & is still up so if you end up all night I'm with you..

I let her sleep on me for about thirty minutes an had finally decided to just to put her to bed, but when I tried to move her he woke up. We ended up in bed a little later than normal because her overtired tantrums out us behind schedule, but it wasn't too bad. Could have been a lot worse!
