Packed Lunches

English muffin pizzas! Cheese quesadillas.

when we were in school, we had a drawer of single serving "things"... it ranged from pretzles, chex mix, trail mixes, chips, teddy grahams etc... mom would buy the normal size bags/boxes of these and we'd sit on Sunday and make up baggies to toss in the drawer, and then we'd just grab what we wanted the morning of.

My husband takes hotdogs quite often for work. He boils them in the morning, fills his thermos with fresh boiling water, and plops 2 dogs in there...then he just takes the buns and some ketchup/mustard packets (the extras from going out to fast food places)... and he's got a warm lunch.

I just toasted an english muffin, added leftover sauce, a slice of cheese, and microwaved it so it had the same texture as regular cold pizza. That's it!

Salads are good-if you get the bagged salads it's even easier especially if they have other veggies in there besides lettuce. You can bag your own croutons out of a box and put dressing in a small container on the side.

pasta salads are good, for a change

I don't know why I never thought of doing salads! duh! Gonna try that next time I get to the store! I throw soups, spagetti O's in a thermos! ummm Yogurt is a fave and applesauce and cottage cheese. I get sick of the same ol' same ol' And I am sure the kids do even more! thanks for the new ideas keep em' coming please!?

As far as salads go too I have a child that doesn't eat dipping stuff with her nuggets so I always get ranch with hers and save it that will work to throw in with the salads! Woo hoo I can't wait to send salads!

While we do eat meat, I try to keep meat meals to a minimum. I tried Morningstar Farms corn dogs the other day..they are little mini ones. I baked them in the morning and then sent them with my daughter after they had cooled. They were a huge hit! She doesn't normally comment on her lunch, unless she hates it of course, but I have heard about those corn dogs for over 3 days.
