Stinky wetbag... ICKY
I just got a wetbag that I adore from a WAHM here and I am having a smell problem. There is no little sachet of anything in the bag and I was wondering if that is the key. It is one layer of PUL and one layer of thin cotton fabric. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Marisa |

Re: Stinky wetbag... ICKY
Yeah, need more info to help. Stink issues after washed, or just in general smells. My wetbag seem to hold onto smells a bunch worse than my dipes so I've started putting pail powder in it and now it's fine. Pail powder is baking soda mixed with EO.

Re: Stinky wetbag... ICKY
I only use a wetbag while out and about so at most I only have 2 diapers in it. At home I have a hospital diaper pail that I keep them in then just dump them in the washer every night. I rinse out the diaper pail after each use and use a bleach spray then rinse it every couple of days.

This isn't the most helpful (sorry) but I have a wool wetbag and it never gets smelly much at all since it's breathable. Maybe try one of these?

Re: Stinky wetbag... ICKY
I have washed it, twice now... Do I need to wash it every time I wash the diapers?

Re: Stinky wetbag... ICKY
do you turn it inside out to wash it?
if you turn it inside out it will help preserve the cute print too

Re: Stinky wetbag... ICKY
I wash my wetbags each time i wash my diapers and i have not had any smell issues. Also make sure to turn it inside out when you wash it if that doesn't happen naturally in the wash so the really dirty part can get clean
