That's a good idea!

My son doesn't have any loveys (other than his binkies, but those are easily replaceable!), but I will keep my eye out for the ones I see in this thread.

I am looking for Ty baby Kitty Baby. He is minty green with an embroidered face and was retired in 2001 (I think) so he is hard to find... I am also interested in finding a Ty Baby Kutie Kat as DS may take to this one just as well. DS is addicted to cats.

Re: the great Diaperswappers "lovey" duplicator!

Great idea, I actually put an ISO out for another one of these last year but never found one. This is Bayboo (Bunny Foo Foo and somehow she meshed them togther to come up with Bayboo).

She got this in an easter basket right after she was born. Months later she became very attatched to it and now we cant find another. The person who made the basket said it came from the Dollar Tree.

Here are pics from last year when it was still kind of clean.

Right after she got out of the hospital for severe dehydration.

DS's is a big yellow duck named "billingsworth" by Russ. It was discontinued and I've only seen them on ebay for over $50

If someone had one I'd be willing to pay for it, but we can't afford $50 for a lovely for a 4 year old.

If you have one you arent using we could sure find a good home for it here!

We actually got lucky with ds1 and his blankets that he sleeps with yet to this day...dh mom croteced him a couple (2) when he was born and he attached to them when he was alittle older, she made him another 1 last yr and he attached to that 1 also, so now we have 3 and hes fine with them as long as she can keep making them when/if needed we are great although he had 2 or 3 others made for him the same way/same type of yarn by other people and they are NOT his babies as he calls them

Just posting pics JUST in case...and here's DD's kitty. It is "wishpets" brand and it's name is "muffin" on the tag.
I had to take the duck from DS:

Heh. DD's loveys are playsilks. I interchange them constantly so she won't be in the above situations Once MIL forgot 'silky' so she gave her a satin slip. Worked just fine, tho I was kind of creeped out by DD sleeping w/ Jama's underthings

PP--can you find a link to Billingsworth?

todzwife, I found these for $10, they say they are a "reasonable facsimile" to the billingsworth duck. If you get stuck, it might be nice to have one on hand.

Re: the great Diaperswappers "lovey" duplicator!

Ds2 doesn't really have a lovey, but ds1's lovey were blankets. At first it was just regular, flannel receiving blankets. We kept several around the house. He wasn't attached to any particular one, as long as it had a particular softness (not all flannel receiving blankets are created equal!). Then my mom made no-sew fleece blankets (with the ties) and his new lovey was born. It was so funny...he'd run around and play and then run back to the blanket and rub his nose w/ it and then run on playing...like he was getting his lovey "fix". Anyway, I wish everyone good luck in their lovey-hunting!
